About Katie...

Katie Ribik is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, with 20 years experience playing the piano and guitar.  She currently resides in Alexandria, VA, where she performs locally at restaurants, bars, weddings, and private parties.  Wth a B.A. in music from the University of Virginia and her teaching certification through Montclair University, Katie worked for five years as an elementary school music teacher and piano/guitar teacher in River Edge, NJ before moving to Alexandria and opening Accelerando Music.  Accelerando offers group and private lessons, in-home early childhood music, and children's birthday parties.  Please visit www.Accelerando-Music.com for more information.

Katie's extensive song list features a wide variety of music from the 60s to today. On some of the songs, she uses a looping pedal, which allows her to record multiple guitar parts, rhythmic accompaniments, and vocal harmonies, giving the effect of two or more live musicians.  Katie has also recently teamed up to form an acoustic duo with guitarist and singer Logan Kraft, leader of the Logan Kraft Band, who just released their first album, "Problems", which can be found in iTunes.
